Our staff members are highly educated in their individual teaching sectors and strive to provide you a safe, effective workout each session. Everyone is insured, CPR Certified and trained for First Aid.Stephanie Forbes Hudgins
Stephanie traveled between Richmond, Baltimore, Fairfax, and Palm Beach Gardens earning Pilates certifications from STOTT PILATES, AFAA, NETA, and All-American Pilates. She is a certified Pilates instructor, certified group fitness instructor, and has over twenty one years of dance experience. She fulfilled the dream of opening a studio in 2006. Stephanie is interested in a broad range of wellness topics. She has taken courses involving prenatal Pilates, postnatal Pilates, yoga and meditation. She attends several workshops and large conferences annually believing that fitness is an on-going process.
Stephanie is experienced in working with a variety of
special needs including post-shoulder, knee and/or back
surgery rehab, suffering from asthma, fibromyalgia,
multiple sclerosis, etc. She is enthusiastic, and
enjoys helping clients achieve and maintain optimal
health. Stephanie's greatest reward is having physically
fit satisfied clients.
Additional experiences that have made an impact on her instruction include a strength and conditioning practicum for Longwood University's Division I basketball team, golf and tennis sport specific training, and shadowing over 100 hours of physical therapy.
Adrianne enjoys providing and participating in a
sensible, safe, and intelligent approach to exercise
that is ideal for longevity. She focuses on functional
training, addressing muscular imbalances, and feels that
Pilates is a well-rounded exercise option for people of
all ages and fitness levels. At Pilates Etc., Adrianne
enjoys implementing her passion for exercise and
wellness into her work whether she is training one on
one, teaching classes, or providing educational
workshops. She teaches on all of the Pilates apparatus,
TRX, and utilizes the small props in mat work such as
BOSUs, Pilates rings, and bands. Ultimately, she loves
watching students progress and hearing them claim they
"improved their game" or "no longer have pain."
"Pilates Etc. has helped me recapture the use of my body after 20 years of inactivity due to chronic back pain. Stephanie patiently modified all the activities to my level of wellness and helped me to regain strength in my core (muscles) to be able to do the activities at full strength and now I am adding a cardio workout to my routine - I am even strong enough to add daily walking to my weekly workouts - I have lost over 20 lbs.
